Artist's Comments

This is a fanart paying tribute to Zilpha Keatley Snyder's Green Sky Trilogy, which is about a group of people living on a far-off planet with huge trees and low gravity. The people of this world glide from tree to tree using wings (called "Shubas") sewn into their clothing. The trees are called "Grunds" for some reason. The books are aimed at children but I read all three at 19 and I enjoyed them. Note that Below the Root, my fav computer game of all time, was based on these books.

Also, this is my first ever deviation ever. Yes, I used "ever" twice.
Feel free to compliment or slam, however you feel. And go read the books.

I've never read/seen/heard about that series, but it seems neat :) good job on the lighting

I love the green sky trilogy too!
:iconsolid-stew:
Hell Yeah! They need to do another printing, too many kids don't know what its about.

Did you ever play the commadore 64 game? I think in the age of 3d this series would make an awesome video game!
:iconsolid-stew:
No, but I did play the Tandy 1000 game. (I think they were the same game but the commodore version ran faster) I agree they would make great games, as long as somebody remakes the original for the DS.
